Stardate:2406.04.19 (USS Nimitz - Sick bay - Lt(jg) Falthgood - 1150) "Yes, I would like to go back to my quarters." Zach smiled, as she came off the table. He felt a small breath of breeze behind him, a moment later, and turned. "When do you want to meet to up?" The Science Officer looked at Vanyssa real quick, then made a show of considering. "I'm going to grab a shower, see if I can't job my memory some by looking around my quarters. It's an old psychological technique, it might work." He took a breath, "Computer, time." [The time is eleven fifty two hours.] After a few seconds consideration he said,; "Ill work on some prelim stuff." He turned to look at Nishi, then continued with "Ill see you at 1300 in the astrophysics department." (reply: Nishi) He once again offered his arm to the woman, and they walked out of sickbay together. A few moments later, he said "Computer, location of Winter's quarters?" The computer gave the response, though Zach hardly paid attention to it. They walked along, in silence. Zach occasionally stole a glance at the woman, drinking in the look of her. Before long, they were before the door to her quarters. She lead him inside without a word. "You know." she said quietly in his ear once the door had closed, "Those glasses make you look really sexy. More sexy than I remember." Zach grinned as he turned to face her. He bent at the waist, and gave her a very light kiss that turned harder as they continued. Then, with a grin he said, "Come, we have no memories... Let us discover ourselves again." Stardate:2406.04.19 (USS Nimitz - Eloise & Nishi's quarters - Eloise ferenc - day 2 - 12:20) Eloise had woken late and found Nishi's note, it had made her smile "unknown dangers, life and death, see you tonight" she had assumed that it was his way of saying "boring", but then he had vanished, and suddenly it wasn't funny. There were hours of not knowing if he was alive or dead, not knowing if he was coming back, she taken Ryuichi up to ten forward and stood there looking out into space, until the bar tender had come over smiled sweetly and spoken to her. it was a simple conversation, they spoke about Ryuichi, how long each had been on board, even about foods, and it had helped, helped take her mind off things, just for a while - like a counsellor, but also like a friend. "I hate what he does" she had confessed to the bartender, who had only smiled understandingly. Then there had been a flair of light outside, the tension in Eloise's chest dropped away when she saw the shuttle, but her breathing didn't become any easier. The teacher had taken Ryuichi almost without Eloise needing to ask, latter, when she went to collect him, she realized why, she was a Betazoid - her need to get to sickbay must have been deafening. Maybe the people in sickbay had heard it too, letting her into the quarantine area, somebody had said " We need another nurse in there" and handed her a tricorder. Now, as she made her way back to their quarters Ryuichi on her hip, she felt more at ease. The away team were having trouble remembering things, some kind of subspace side effect, these things, more often than not, were temporary - She was just glad that they were alive. She entered their quarters, saw that the bathroom light was on. "look who's back" she said to Ryuichi as they came to the open door. She had never seen Nishi react like that, he was clearly frightened, but he clenched his fists and nearly attacked them. He stopped himself and quickly covered himself with a towel. "I'm sorry" he said breathing hard "You scared me, I didn't hear you come in" Eloise's heart was pounding, she'd never seen him do that, the look in his eyes, the almost wild way he moved. "It's .. it's alright...I'm sorry" she stammered. "Um, I'll just.. get dressed" he said, clearly embarrassed. She stepped back as he closed the door. Ryuichi hadn't been at all startled and was tugging her hair and squirming. She sat back on the bed, her heart still pounding. She started to rationalize it, he had been through a lot, and was probably still on edge, not to mention a little disorientated, it was no wonder her was surprised. She placed Ryuichi on the bed, where he squirmed and kicked a little. When Nishi stepped out of the bathroom, she got up and hugged him. "I'm sorry" she said "holding onto him "I'm glad your back" "Me too" he said, putting his arms around her. She stood there holding onto him, just thankful to have him back, he seemed uncomfortable at first, almost as if he were hugging a stranger, but quickly relaxed. "Can you watch over Ryuichi, while I go to the bathroom?" she asked, after the hug had finished. Nishi nodded, looking down at his son laying on the bed, "Sure" She stepped into the bathroom, and as she closed the door heard something that caused her heart to sink. Nishi's voice from the next room, as he picked his son up from the bed "So, who are you then?" Stardate:2406.19.04 (USS Nimitz - Sickbay - NPC Dr. O'Shea - Day 2 - 2406.04.19.1043) O'Shea was running his medical tricorder across Sevant and frowning. His scans only revealed low-level radiation exposure, well within treatable limits. Nothing that he could find would account for the fragmented memory, but then again there were many aspects of the human brain's operation that were still a mystery. "You, Doctor-person. What is wrong with my memory?" demanded the counsellor from behind him. O'Shea sighed and turned around only to see that Winters was addressing the CMO, who was also being checked out after his jaunt with the away team. "Look, honey, in case you hadn't noticed, I'm in the same boat as you," replied Fickett icily. "Except I'm worse off because I can't see a damn thing. Why is everything so blurry?" (reply Winters) O'Shea looked over at the nearby table and saw Fickett's glasses sitting there. He picked them up, straightened them out a bit, and handed them to the CMO. "Here, these might help," he said. Fickett took the glasses and peered at them as though he had never seen them before. He then slid them on his face, then sighed and leaned back. "Ah, that's better... ow! Hey, watch where you stick that thing," he said irritably to the nurse who had just administered the anti-radiation medication. O'Shea shrugged and turned back to the head nurse. "Nurse Ferenc, I will be in the office correlating the data from the medical scans. Let me know if anything changes." "Yes, doctor," she replied. Stardate:2406.19.04 (USS Nimitz - Medical Office - NPC Dr. O'Shea - Day 2 - 1150) O'Shea rechecked the scan results one more time. Once the radiation treatments had been conducted, there were absolutely no abnormal medical readings left, and therefore no reason to hold them in sickbay any longer. He had a nagging feeling in his gut that something was still not quite right, but his feeling was not substantiated by any tangible proof. "Never trust your gut anyway," he muttered to himself. He tapped the comm system and keyed in the command for the bridge. "O'Shea to bridge. The away team has been cleared medically. Thought you'd want to know. Out." He then closed the channel and headed back out towards the examination ward to inform the patients of their imminent discharge.
